PROCESS & PROFILE

Stagg Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Batch 25A continues the bold legacy of Buffalo Trace’s iconic barrel-proof series. Formerly known as Stagg Jr., this uncut and unfiltered bourbon embodies the full-bodied intensity that defines the brand — delivering high proof, rich oak character, and deep caramel sweetness straight from the barrel.

Aged for approximately 8–9 years and bottled at a robust 126.5 proof (63.25% ABV), Batch 25A showcases the perfect harmony between power and precision. Distilled from Buffalo Trace’s traditional mash bill #1, this release highlights the natural complexity of barrel-strength bourbon with layers of spice, brown sugar, and roasted oak.

TASTING NOTES

  • Color: Deep mahogany with amber highlights.

  • Nose: Brown sugar, dark cherry, molasses, and heavy oak with hints of cocoa and vanilla.

  • Palate: Dense and rich with caramelized sugar, baking spice, leather, and a touch of tobacco.

  • Finish: Long and bold with waves of oak, char, dark fruit, and peppered heat.
